Dog Boarding in Sperryville, Virginia

Hello Dog Lovers!

Welcome to 2 Dog Hotel, where your furry friends are treated like family. We’re Scott and Sarah, pet sitters with over 30 years of experience.

Looking out on Old Rag Mountain in Shenandoah National Park, we provide individual care for your pets, as we host only one or two dogs at a time. With easy access to trails and outdoor adventures, your dog will have a great vacation.

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home is how we want every dog to feel from the moment they arrive. We give them water and take them for a walk pronto. This allows them to exchange pee-mails and connect with their new surroundings.

Our home is calm, comfortable, and built around outdoor living, with a deck and patio where we spend much of our time. At the edge of our yard, trails lead down to the Hughes River and across the road to the original Old Rag Mountain parking lot. Nature is always close, whether that means a quiet walk, time in the yard, or simply lounging and watching squirrel TV.

Inside, dogs are part of the household. We’re happy to share our couch and even our bed if that’s what our doggie guests expect. Every dog is different, so tell us about your dog’s health, routines, and rules for couch surfing.

Day Sitting for Old Rag Hikers

Planning a hike up Old Rag Mountain? While dogs aren’t allowed on the trail, we offer dog-sitting services to ensure your pet is cared for while you enjoy your adventure. Please contact us at least one day in advance to arrange day-sitting services.

Due to Old Rag Mountain’s popularity, a $2.00 day pass is required for each person in your party, in addition to having a National Park Service pass. Cell service and the Internet may not be available when you reach the mountain, so get your passes before leaving home. Here’s an interesting blog on hiking Old Rag.
